KELLY FILES PETITON FOR COMPTROLLER: Makes a statement about races in NY, NJ, and VA
(Springfield, IL) At about 8:30, this morning, William J. Kelly formally filed his petition for the Feb. 2 GOP primary for comptroller against Judy Baar Topinka.
Of this race, Kelly says, "On the eve of critical races, in New Jersey, New York, and Virginia, the national debate has begun, on the direction of the Republican Party. Will we choose Republicans who stand for something or for nothing? Will we have reform or more corruption?
Topinka has destroyed the Illinois Republican Party and paved the way for Barack Obama to become a U.S. senator and now president. We will never build a Republican Party by nominating or electing candidates like Judy Baar Topinka," said Kelly.
